Being invited to the Restaurant Australia launch has been one of the highlights of my year so far. Hosted at the incredible new Orana restaurant on Rundle Street, not only did our small group get to find out about Tourism Australia‘s newest campaign, but we all ate and drank like Kings (see pics further down). It’s a tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it.
In the words of John O’Sullivan, MD of Tourism Australia, “highlighting the reality of our exciting world-class food and wine is a huge opportunity, and what the Restaurant Australia concept is all about.”
At its heart is the idea that Australia is the world’s greatest restaurant.
What you need to know:
1. Orana Restaurant is unbelievable. Save up your pennies (it ain’t cheap) and go. Just do it. You won’t regret it.
2. Revel in the fact that you have the opportunity to go to places like Orana, and the many other incredible food venues around Australia. We have some of the best cuisine and produce in the world.
3. Get behind concepts like Restaurant Australia which support our local industry. Tell your friends about it. Tell the world. Check out their website.
