Muscular Dystrophy SA’s annual Big Red Ride and Run is back bigger and better than ever in 2015!

Since its inception in 2011, this event has become a highlight of the cycling calendar – giving Adelaide’s cyclists an opportunity to ride alongside pro cyclists, win great prizes and enjoy the beautiful coastline.

On Saturday 17 January 2015, Big Red Ride and Run participants will cycle, run or walk along the picturesque seaside route from Glenelg to Outer Harbour and back to raise valuable funds for Muscular Dystrophy SA. Runners will have the option to run either 5km or 10km while enjoying the great beach views.

Taking place the day before the start of the Tour Down Under, the Big Red Ride and Run is a great way to kick-start the cycling season. A perfect day out for cycling fans, participants will have the opportunity to ride along pro cyclists including Aussie legend Bradley McGee.

This year the Event Village will be expanded with extra food and beverage stalls and entertainment, including a wheelchair sports demonstration and Harley Show and Shine.

The Big Red Ride and Run is just one of Muscular Dystrophy SA’s dynamic calendar of fundraising events. Funds raised at this event will go towards making a difference to the lives of children and adults living with neuromuscular conditions.

Beyond the reward of supporting a worthy cause, participants who fundraise go in the running to win a range of incentive prizes, including – a Garmin Vivofit, 12 month Jetts Membership, $1000 Flight Centre Travel Voucher and more!
