Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinemas is kickstarting summer with three weeks of bumper entertainment at Glenelg Beach. Supported by the City of Holdfast Bay, this is the first time the highly successful event will be held in Adelaide, bringing audiences music by day, movies by night from 1st – 22nd December.
The full movie program will be revealed in early October and will offer a stellar line-up of cult classics, the latest and greatest new releases, award-winning features, sneak previews and premieres. With a 2K HD digital cinema system and a huge outdoor screen showing titles including ‘Gravity’, Sandra Bullock and George Clooney’s latest blockbuster, ‘Grease-Sing-Along’ the ultimate summer karaoke session and ‘Rush’ the biographical film depicting the merciless 1976 Formula One season along with many, many more, guests can look forward to enjoying an alfresco cinema experience like no other.
Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinemas will be bringing the festival vibe every weekend with the Ben & Jerry’s Sundae Session. A dedicated live music event where you’ll be serenaded as the sun sets by talented Australian artists, before enjoying a movie under the stars. The events also feature a host of super fun lawn games and free scoops of delicious Ben & Jerry’s ice cream for all!
During the week, Local DJs will handpick chilled-out tunes for the crowd to relax to as the sun sets at this spectacular seaside location.
The site will host a fully licensed bar stocked with a wide selection of beverages guaranteed to wet your whistle. Local gourmet vendors will be serving up a variety of tasty cuisine and scrumptious snacks. Available exclusively at Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinema, guests will also have the opportunity to try and buy a range of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.
Guests will be able to enjoy all the action in comfort and style as deck chairs, bean loungers and blankets can be hired as part of the ticket packages available. Star Class tickets also include reserved VIP seating and a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream for each ticket-holder.
Tickets will be available at openaircinemas.com.au from Tuesday 15th October at 9am.
