After losing to the top two teams on day four, South Australia must beat Victoria in the early game on day five of the Australian under 19 Softball Championships to qualify for the play-offs.

If SA lose to Victoria, there is still a slight chance to make the top four with a victory over Western Australia in the late contest.

Undefeated NSW proved too strong for SA in a 13-0 result on day four, although the home side managed to pick up a couple of hits, through Caitlin Carroll and Jamie Mead.

Against Queensland, in an 8-1 loss, SA batted well without luck, as Elly Beal and Chelsea Robinson collected a pair of hits each.

Day five is do-or-die for SA, with games against Victoria at 2.30pm and Western Australia at 5pm.
