An All-Vegan Cheese & Wine Party is Happening This Weekend!

Vegan wine and cheese party in McLaren Vale? Sign us up.

Once upon a time, being vegan meant no cheese, no wine (and to be honest, not a lot fun in the food department at all) but thanks to guys like Milkless and Fox Creek, going out with friends is a hell of a lot easier. They’re putting on a vegan wine and cheese party in the lovely McLaren Vale this Sunday 5 November,  Plant Based Divine Event.

Adelaide owned and operated vegan cheesery Milkless will be showcasing their hand-crafted range of dairy-free, soy-free, artisan “cheeses” and accompanying goodies in the surrounds of Fox Creek Winery.  With live music from Johnny Bobo and local arts and crafts stalls, the day will be a chilled out celebration of simple pleasures and all things plant-based.

Everything on the platters is vegan including the cheeses, crackers and nibbles.  Worried about the wine? Pfft… even that  All Fox Creek wines are vegan-friendly, and the winery uses no animal products in its manufacturing process.

Milkless was designed with grazing platters in mind, so why not try your hand at wine and cheese matching?  Bold flavoured styles like the pumpkin garlic cheese or the smoked hickory are beautiful with Fox Creek’s famous reds.  Try them with the Shadow’s Run Shiraz Cab Sav (named after Shadow, the doggo who used to run up and down the vineyard aisles) or my personal fave, The Vixen sparkling red blend.  Yum.  And don’t think twice about their whites, McLaren Vale chardonnay is some of the best in the world and it goes beautifully with the apricot & almond or coconut cheeses, especially on a glorious afternoon in the garden.

There’s no need to book, but if you’re a super-organised type you can pre-order your platter ($40 per person) and start feasting as soon as you get there.
