AltJ-1Good news, folks. Australia’s favourite indie-rock band alt-J are making their way back to Adelaide on their huge Australian tour next year.

The shows are set to be their biggest Australian headline shows to date, with their tour starting in Brisbane and ending in Perth. But let’s cut straight to the chase: they’ll be playing their Adelaide show at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on May 13th.

It was only a few weeks ago that the band were in Australia promoting their sophomore album, This Is All Yours, and judging by their Melbourne and Sydney shows, which both sold out in seconds, their 2015 tour is likely to sell out FAST.

With an equal balance of material from An Awesome Wave and This Is All Yours… It became evident that alt-J’s sophomore record could be delivered as flawlessly as it was in studio. The band’s knack for creating soothing, goosebump-inflicting harmonies and their aptness for dynamics highlights why they’re one of the fastest-growing bands at the moment – and why they sell out just about every single show.” Tone Deaf.

Following their hugely successful debut An Awesome Wave (2012), to say that This Is All Yours (released September 2014) was highly anticipated is a serious understatement. People were jumping at the bit to wrap their ears around the new sounds, and the release did not dissapoint. Despite the huge pressure to create an equally successful follow up, Joe Newman (guitar/vocals), Gus Unger-Hamilton (keyboards) and Thom Green (drums) most certainly delivered. This Is All Yours debuted at #1 in the UK, #2 in Australia, #4 in the USA and landed within the top 10 for most parts of Europe.

The band is playing the Falls Festival in January 2015, but have no plans to play any headline shows during their short visit, so be sure the get in quick and nab you and your friends some tickets for their May show.

Tickets are currently on pre-sale for Frontier Members until 2pm today.
Public tickets go on sale here at 10am, Friday October 31st.
