Album Review: Bam Bam ‘The Good Life’ EP

Bam_Bam_100dpi_crop-300x234Newcomer Bam Bam has launched himself into the hip hop world with his debut EP which is full of melodies that complement sound beats and rhymes.

From the emotionally charged “Better Man” (featuring Allday) to the good times inducing “Day by Day” (featuring 360), the accomplished break-dancer’s The Good Life EP shows enormous potential.

The first single off the EP, “Bags Packed” has already received a fair bit of airplay and is a good fit to an ever-evolving Aussie hip hop scene where good vocals are as crucial as the rap that surrounds them.

The second single “Feel Like I’m Alive” which is the first track on the EP will get you dancing and singing along hours after you’ve heard it.

“She Wanna Get Down” is the typical track about a sexy, leopard skin-clad woman, which features on most hip hop records, but it’s fun and is impossible to dislike due to its contagious groove.

Toward the end of the EP, it becomes quite candid as Bam Bam raps about his life and love; his young sound complementing the honesty and sincerity of his lyrics.

Bam Bam’s debut effort is a good indication of how far he will go in an industry which leaves room for reinvention and change.

Check him out because his lyrics are genuine and honest, and his beats will make you move.
