Head chef Ben Sears of Redfern’s much-hyped modern Korean restaurant Moon Park takes over Africola’s kitchen on August 3 for the latest in a line of successful sold out chef collaborations with Duncan Welgemoed.

Africola, which is up for Gourmet Traveller’s Best New Restaurant Award, invites the most exciting chefs from around Australia to bring exclusive dining experiences to Adelaide.

Ben Sears says diners can expect fresh and tasty Korean food, but not as you know it: “Using the best ingredients from Korea and Australia combined with techniques learnt in our collective experience here and abroad we tear apart and reimagine what it means to be Korean restaurant in Australia.

I’m looking forward to working with Duncan and the team at Africola to deliver a unique and delicious interpretation of Korean food, both traditional and modern.”

Duncan Welgemoed, who is about to head off to present a series of dinners at Darwin Festival similar to what he produced at Adelaide Festival’s Lola’s Pergola degustations, is looking forward to the night.
