The new Snow Dome float unveiled today marks the 16 sleep countdown until the 2014 Credit Union Christmas Pageant.
Brian Gilbertson, Event Director, Credit Union Christmas Pageant showed some special visitors at Stardust Castle today the Snow Dome float for the first time and says preparations are on track for the big day.
“Final preparations are going well and all the elves are working extra hard to deliver a magical Pageant once again. This is the first time the Pageant has had a real snow dome featured as a float and it looks simply spectacular, conjuring images of a quintessential white Christmas,” Mr Gilbertson said.
“It has been wonderful to have the kids from St John the Baptist Catholic School at Stardust Castle today to catch a glimpse of the Snow Dome up close ahead of Pageant day. Seeing their eyes light up and the smiles on their faces is what Pageant magic is all about.”
Designed by Kari Lindsay, Snow Dome is expected to become a firm favourite with the crowds as it truly captures the essence of Christmas through the colours, characters and overall design.
‘Share the Pageant with Someone you Love’ in 2014 and bring your biggest smiles and waves. More than 300,000 people are expected to welcome Father Christmas to Adelaide on Saturday 8 November 2014 as he makes his way from South Terrace to the Magic Cave at David Jones.
In 2014 the Pageant will be travelling a slightly different, the route will once again pass the Hilton Adelaide in Victoria Square and return to Grenfell Street.
The Credit Union Christmas Pageant is owned and managed by the South Australian Tourism Commission on behalf of the South Australian Government and sponsored by People’s Choice Credit Union, Beyond Bank Australia, Credit Union SA and Police Credit Union.
