Laneway is Adelaide’s first permanent container bar located in the heart of Adelaide’s thriving CBD, with ‘Season II’ a major success.

With reconstructions well underway, the outdoor venue will reopen in spring named ‘The Third,’ with a brand new look and feel.

Some of the major changes will include an additional level to cater to more patrons and a dance floor to grow the vibrancy.

Venue Managers Karah Castellan of The Third and Jarrad Boman of Season II are excited about the renovations.

Karah Castellan says, “Stage one of the new level overlooking Hindley Street is complete, making us well underway to give our guests a new experience just in time for the warmer months.

“We have also decided to include a cacophony of new artistic murals and graffiti pieces done by local, up-and-coming artists to reflect the local feel and philosophy Laneway is all about,” says Kara Castellan.

Another instalment to Laneway is a floating Canary Island Pine bench top in the upper container, which has a glistening epoxy glass finish, complimenting the Elm varnished timber floors.

In addition to the success of last season, Laneway Season II is nominated as a finalist in the South Australian Restaurant and Catering Awards for Excellence for ‘Best New Small Bar.’

“Guests can expect a revitalised drinks menu consisting of some of the best cocktails from around the world, as well as the return of our popular fresh juices,” says Kara Castellan.

“And we haven’t gotten rid of our famous toasties with garlic aioli sauce – the perfect late night snack!”

Laneway is one of many seasonal bars in Adelaide making its mark in the hospitality scene, proving to be a destination of choice for after work drinks, Saturday night antics and lazy Sunday sessions.
