0

If you’ve got kids, we don’t need to tell you how much effort goes into planning a birthday party. That’s why the team at Glam Adelaide have put together a (fairly) comprehensive list of ultimate kids’ birthday party ideas in Adelaide.

ADVENTURE

BOUNCE inc is a trampoline lover’s paradise. With more than 50 interconnected trampolines, your kids can literally bounce off the walls. Parties start from $29 per person for a 2 hour session. BYO food and drink are not permitted, so let staff know of any allergies when you book.

Latitude offers trampolining, rock climbing and high ropes courses for those wanting a little extra flexibility. You can purchase party packages from $25 for kids under 5 or $33 for kids over 5. Latitude even sorts out cake and lolly bags, so all you need to do is turn up.

Castleworld & Cafe is a giant warehouse filled with jumping castles. Party packages can be purchased at a flat rate of $180 for 10 children or $140 for 10 children under the age of 5. You can either order food through the premises for an additional cost or bring your own.

King Pin Bowling Norwood offers a variety of party packages that cater to most budgets. Choose from bowling, laser tag, arcade games – or a combination of all three! Some packages include party food and drinks. And for the adults – there’s a cocktail bar onsite. Everyone’s happy.

Kart Mania Gepps Cross offers go-karting and laser skirmish missions that can be customised to suit your needs. Kart Mania do not supply food, but can reserve a party table for up to 45 minutes after completing activities so you can bring food or order pizza.

Cirkidz birthday parties allow kids to be involved in circus training, which can include tumbling, trapeze, juggling and human pyramids. Parties cost $399 for up to 20 participants and offers sessions on Sundays during set session times.

Vertical Reality Climbing is a fun indoor rock climbing facility that makes for a great party location. A 2 hour party, including all necessary equipment & instruction costs $110 for the first 6 climbers, and $16 per additional climber. If the climbers are aged under 13 years, you will need to arrange an adult helper for each 3-4 kids to belay (look after safety ropes). Cold drinks, tea and coffee are available, but food needs to be self-catered.

St Clair Recreation Centre has an entire rollerskating rink you can book out for two hours on Saturdays and Sundays. You can even bring your own music to play during the session, if it suits your fancy. Rink hire is $270 for up to 30 skaters and $10 per additional skater. Although food isn’t included, you get to use party tables, a fridge, freezer and pie warmer if required.

IceArenA offers cool (haha) parties on Friday Nights and Saturdays. The minimum cost for a group of 8 is $200, which needs to be paid in advance to confirm the booking. The IceArenA has cakes available at $15 each, or you can bring your own cake for a BYO cost of $5 each cake. No outside food and drink is permitted, unless in relation to a food allergy.

THEMED

Star Academy offers pampering, ballerina, hip hop/breakdance, disco, Alice in Wonderland, Frozen, Fairy and Disney Princess parties, with other options available on request. Party guests learn a magical dance routine and get to perform it at the end of the party. Prices quoted when booking.

Groovy Chicks and Pirate Ships in Holden Hill have 12 themed party packages to choose from, including princess, pirate, jungle and monster. Call 8266 3108 for the latest pricing updates.

Fairy Bay in Glenelg provides fairy, mermaid, princess and unicorn themed parties. The price for up to 10 children is $295 and includes the use of dress up costumes and a personalised cake, so no extra preparation is required.

CRAFT

PLAY CAFES

Crocs Playcentre in Kilburn offers a variety of kid’s party activities and starts from a $249 flat rate. Cake can be ordered through the venue or you can bring them in.

Bumblebees Play Cafe lets you rent out the entire cafe exclusively for $130 an hour and offer food platters starting from $15. Alternatively you can take your own. Book via the Facebook page or by calling Jessica on 08 8396 8982.

SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT

ilookmystyle in Croydon is like a pamper palace for kids, with a variety of packages and party rooms available for hire. The pamper party package starts from $40 per person and includes a foot scrub, foot spa, finger and toe nail painting, and you can purchase facials for an extra touch of class. There’s even a disco room for a little dance after the pampering is done.

Hahndorf Farm Barn offers catered and self-catered birthday party options, and even offer a mobile farm party option if you have the space at home. Kids love petting their favourite cute and cuddly animals.

Wallis Cinemas offer $11 movie tickets for groups of 10 or more ($2 extra for adults). Additional food and ice cream cake can be purchased when you confirm your booking. If you choose to bring your own cake, an extra cost of $1 per person applies.

The Beach House in Glenelg allows you to mix and match activity and catering packages. With water slides, mini golf, arcades and dodgem cars, there’s plenty to choose from. Plus there are plenty of excellent ice cream places to head to afterwards if that tickles your fancy.
