Adelaide’s Bad To The Bone Feminist Jerk Wins LGBTI Journalist of the Year

Chloe Sargeant has won the coveted LGBTI Journalist of the Year last night at the Inaugural LGBTI Awards in Sydney.

When it comes to digital media, the internet is cluttered with content. There’s people vying for attention, keyboard warriors, those too scared to write anything at all. Occasionally though, there’s someone with who stands up for what they believe in, have the intelligence to back it up, and the eloquence to put it together in a way that cuts through to their readers. Chloe Sargeant is the latter.

Hailing from Adelaide, this kick ass journo has been outspoken for many years, and garnered a cult-like following with those who enjoy her sense of humour, crass language, and dedication to causes worth fighting for. It seems her peers also revel in her work, with Chloe just taking out the coveted LGBTI Journalist of the Year last night at the Inaugural LGBTI Awards held at the Opera House in Sydney.

Chloe has used her voice to drive stories about LGBTI+ rights and equality, same-sex marriage, as well as the debate over the Safe Schools program.

After recently wrapping up her role as news editor at PEDESTRIAN.TV, Chloe is about to dive into a new role at SBS, where her ability to tackle a range of issues will continue to be an asset.

We think Chloe’s Instagram bio pretty much sums up why we love her. “News editor at @pedestriantv, once upon a time model, proud queer gal, bad to the bone feminist jerk.”
