Adelaide To Light Up For The Moon Lantern Festival

As if Adelaide could get anymore beautiful, along comes the Moon Lantern Festival… From lanterns to fireworks don’t miss this stunning event

The OzAsia Festival is set to be amazing this year, with a jam packed program, Adelaide’s first Night Noodle Markets and the Moon Lantern Festival.

Australia’s largest lantern parade, the OzAsia Moon Lantern Festival, is set to be absolutely stunning. The family friendly event will be held in Elder Park this Sunday 27 September and will be a feast for the senses. The Festival, which just so happens to fall on the same day as the SANFL Grand Final, will mean that Adelaide’s Riverbank Precinct will truly come to life.

With a new design concept, never before seen lanterns and the Hong Kong Dragon (that’s the largest lantern created for the Festival), all set to wow the crowds.

Along with the spectacular lantern installations, there will be a plethora of other activities to keep you entertained. From roving performances and workshops to delicious food from the food trucks which will be set up around the event, there really will be something for everyone.

Also, keep your eye out for the Dragon Boat racing on the river from 2pm – 6pm.

So enjoy some food and a wander around taking in the atmosphere before the show stopping finale, the lantern parade followed by a fireworks display over the River Torrens. Wow, this all just sounds too good.

Don’t miss all the FREE lantern action this weekend, Sunday 27 September at Elder Park.
