Picture this… several mini Festivals within the one festival. We’ll be shining the spotlight on China, Japan, Thailand, Korea and Vietnam.

“We want to educate Australians about the diversity of Asian Culture and how different each of them can be” says Event Manager, Adriana Michael.

Featuring a unique entertainment line-up, including traditional drumming, dancing, food art, massage and various martial arts. Plus, for the first time ever, Air Asia ASIAFEST will bring the art of Japanese Sumo Wrestling to Adelaide direct from Japan.

“It is extremely rare for these wrestlers to venture to a foreign country with their traditional art form and we have the pleasure of hosting these prestigious athletes right here in Adelaide” says Event Manager, Adriana Michael.

Witness an Adelaide first Sumo Tournament take place in a custom built arena held in Rymill Park.

In addition, the team behind the Royal Croquet Club & Little Miss Mexico are putting together a truly unique festival bar over the three days called ‘Miss Lee’s Laundry & Bar’ within The Melting Pot area. Step into Miss Lee’s and be taken into the back street alley ways of Hong Kong surrounded by a fusion of street style eateries and entertainment in an intricately decorated setting.
