Adelaide Strikers first to secure full sponsorship

The Adelaide Strikers have today confirmed they are the first KFC T20 Big Bash League team to secure full sponsorship with the announcement of two locally based partnerships with West End (Principal Sponsor) and People’s Choice (Partner).

The two South Australian businesses have thrown their support behind the Adelaide Strikers, saying the new team’s first season was an exciting moment in the state’s sporting history.

The Adelaide Strikers play their first match on Adelaide Oval on Sunday, December 18, against the Melbourne Renegades.

“West End Draught has a proud history in their support of local sporting teams. Already having such a strong relationship with Cricket in South Australia, the opportunity to partner with the Adelaide Strikers in their inaugural season was an easy choice for us,” said Jake Parkinson, Regional Director, SA Brewing.

“Our mantra has always been “It Pays To Be Local” and we are truly excited about supporting a sport that South Australian’s have long been so passionate about through this exciting new team and format.

“West End Draught and its people love all things local and what a great way to show that by having South Australia’s biggest beer partner with its newest sporting franchise.”

People’s Choice Managing Director Peter Evers, said that being the inaugural partner of the Adelaide Strikers was a perfect fit and being part of the BBL was too good an opportunity to miss.

“Despite our long and proud heritage, the People’s Choice brand is new to the marketplace and we are challenging people, especially young people, to think about how they organise and plan for their financial future,” Mr Evers said.

“We are proud of our South Australian heritage and partnering with the Adelaide Strikers is a great opportunity to be part of something that is innovative and full of excitement. Let’s face it; T20 will be the hottest thing in Adelaide this summer.”
