Adelaide Oyster Festival Kicks Off At 2KW

Today, Friday August 5th is National Oyster Day and 2KW Bar & Restaurant is celebrating with the launch of the inaugural Adelaide Oyster Festival.

Adelaide has no shortage of festivals but The Adelaide Oyster Festival will have you coming back for more! Today, Friday August 5th is National Oyster Day and 2KW Bar & Restaurant is celebrating with the launch of the inaugural Adelaide Oyster Festival.

2KW will be celebrating this intriguing and tasty mollusc throughout the month of August culminating in the ultimate event on Saturday, September 3rd. The Adelaide Oyster Festival will celebrate premium oysters, in the peak of their season, sourced from different regions of South Australia.

2KW Bar & Restaurant’s Business Development Manager Nick Finn said: “We will be serving freshly shucked oysters from all over SA including Coffin Bay, Streaky Bay and American River. In addition, there will be an array of delicate seafood canapes and an impressive and tasty seafood paella”.

“The Adelaide Oyster Festival 2016 will be a seafood lover’s heaven. We’ll be serving oysters in over ten different ways.”

“We have also partnered with Arbeaumont Champagne, Sidewood wine & cider and Coopers beer to ensure the oysters are washed down in style.”

“There will be lots of activity throughout the afternoon including local oyster shuckers, shucking SA grown oysters for patrons on The Terrace. You won’t see fresher oyster anywhere in Adelaide.”
