It’s not often you are told to ‘play with fire’ but this weekend, wine and food lovers will be pulling on their woollies and heading to the Adelaide Hills to warm themselves by an open flame, a roasting pyre or a crackling blaze – with a glass of red wine of course.

In its fourth year, the 2014 Winter Reds Weekend, will be the largest on record with more than 40 participating wineries offering a diverse range of events across Australia’s most awarded cool climate wine region, right on Adelaide’s back door step.

For those who love a slow cooked shank with a glass of Shiraz, or an osso bucco with a splash of Pinot, the Adelaide Hills is the place to be this weekend.
