Adelaide Goes Nuts For Stormzy! Thebbie Show A Sell Out

UK Grime master Stormzy will play to a sold out show after being upgraded to Thebbie from The Gov.

Those hoping to nab a ticket to Stormzy’s “Gang Signs and Prayer” tour show at the door at Thebarton Theatre on Friday night are out of luck.

The final tickets to the Grime king’s show have sold out after the show was quickly elevated to Thebbie after selling out The Gov in record time. The 23-year-British star has had a rapid rise to stardom over the past few years as UK grime and rap continues to grow in popularity both in Europe and across the world.

Gang Signs and Prayer nabbed the number one spot in the UK charts reaching Gold status, no mean feat in the current music climate. He’s also won Best Grime Act at the 2014 and 2015 MOBO Awards and came third in BBC’s influential Sound of 2015 list and the first unsigned grime artist to appear on Jools Holland or to receive a BET nomination.

Last year amid some unfortunate label issues Stormzy had to pull out of the Young Muscle run show with Baauer and Yung Lean, which disappointed plenty of local fans, so that makes this year’s show all the more special.
