The Kermonds

With 124 years of experience between them, the Kermonds have all the polish you would expect and the energy to match in their old fashioned vaudeville show.

With 124 years of experience between them, the Kermonds have all the polish you would expect and the energy to match. They brought back a little old fashioned vaudeville entertainment.

They opened with Let Us Entertain You, Make ‘em Laugh and Song and Dance Man, showing just how much talent runs in the family. The oldest member, Warren, told us of being backstage at the Tivoli when he was a child and spending his childhood with chorus girls and famous comedians. His son, Wayne, started the same way but went on to star in musicals, while Zan. the ‘baby’ at 21, has already been a part of great shows like Tap Dogs and Hot Shoe Shuffle.

Make no mistake they can all dance! Each of the three generations showed us their expertise, Warren first with his tales about the ‘Tiv and then Wayne did the part of the Chorus Line cattle call with I Can Do That. He may be no teenager but he definitely can do that! He also gave us Candy Man and What kind of Fool am I.

Zan had his chance to shine doing a great version of Puttin’ on the Ritz. Father and son then combined to give us a real tap display with Moses Supposes from Singin’ in the Rain.

Zan taps so fast sparks fly, but his dad can keep pace and his Grandad has to be seen to be believed, in his 70s and tapping like a teenager! Whilst not a show for everyone, if you just can’t get enough of tap or miss the old Song and Dance men this is a show for you! What a talented family.
