Having a new baby in the house is exciting but can also be stressful during the early months of parenting.

BabyTime, a new app created by Adelaide development studio Enhancient, is making life easier for parents and their babies to and helping them settle into a routine.

Parents can now track their baby’s daily activities, like feeds, sleeps and nappy changes with a simple tap and swipe thanks on their phone or tablet so they can settle into good feeding and sleeping routines, spot trends, and find clarity as new parents.

Some of the features include a sleep timer, which runs silently in the background until your baby wakes, and a ‘night mode’ option for a low-contrast background that’s soothing to tired eyes during 4am feeds

Enhancient founder and father of three James Strong said he came up with the idea for BabyTime with his wife, Nim, after they struggled to settle their second son into a good sleep routine.

“His sleep was gradually getting worse over time and it got to the point where we were all desperately sleep-deprived,” Mr Strong said.

“If we had been able to see his sleep patterns changing more clearly we could have intervened earlier and helped both him and ourselves.”

“Every mother I know has had to write down their baby’s feeds and sleeps in some way to keep track and monitor their health,” Mrs Strong added.

“Like most of my friends I used pen and paper, and I’d wish I’d had BabyTime to keep track of it all in one place – it would have been so much simpler.”

BabyTime is available in the Apple App Store now. Check out more of the features of the app here, www.babytimeapp.com.
