A Cocktail Forest Bar And Hammock Heaven Are Only The Start

A super sexy, fabulous outdoor music, food and wine festival, is set to hit Langhorne Creek this November.

When we heard the words COCKTAIL FOREST BAR and HAMMOCK HEAVEN, we were in.

We didn’t care where it was, but we were dropping everything and getting along to this event.

Turns out, there’s also plenty more on offer, at this super sexy, fabulous outdoor music, food and wine festival, which is set to hit Langhorne Creek this November.

The Handpicked Festival’s line up will be music to the ears of food and wine lovers, with the announcement of a delicious line up of SA’s finest food trucks, wine and art, to enjoy alongside a feast of the country’s top performers.

Nestled amongst the hundred-year-old gum trees at Lake Breeze Winery, will be a collection of SA food trucks handpicked to tickle festival goer’s taste buds.

With Langhorne Creek at her doorstep, festival organiser, Kate Cooper, has sourced the state’s best local producers and ‘truckies’ to feed Handpicked’s crowd of four-thousand.

“Hungry festival goers can refuel in ‘The Food Garden’ where a dozen food trucks will be set up offering cuisines from Mexico, Greece, Italy and France, as well as vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.

“There will be something for everyone with catering from SA favourites, Let Them Eat, Gourmet Grillerz, La Cantina Co, Squid Inc., Orexi, Melt and Bean Machine as well as sweets from PōPSICOOL and La Creperie,” said Kate Cooper.

The boutique festival will be held on the beautiful lush lawns of Lake Breeze Winery, offering a complete sensory experience that showcases the best of food and wine.

Amongst the gums and the vineyard, guests can enjoy spectacular Lake Breeze wines at the The Barrel Bar, which is created out of a five-metre high wall of vintage wine barrels.

“Music lovers can start the day with a refreshing Lake Breeze Moscato, then with lunch they can move onto our new rosé and when the sun starts to set try our signature red,” said Kate Cooper.

Set to enchant, is the new Cocktail Forest, a boutique bar showcasing a unique cocktail menu using Lake Breeze’s moscato, rosé and vermentino.

Just a stones throw from the nearby creek, the stylish bar will also offer chocolate tastings from Red Cacao and cheese by BD Farms. Local artisans from the Fleurieu Region will display a diverse range of arts, crafts, jewellery and home wares at The Lane.

The bustling marketplace can get visitors festival ready, with gorgeous flower crowns and pieces by Adelaideup, face painting by Spark Face and Body Art and Henna by Laura.

“There’s something all shoppers can enjoy with a delightful treasure trove of funky, vintage home wares from Gilbert & Co, local jewellery and accessories from LP Handmade, luxury skincare products from Vineyard Road, sunnies from Supa Sundays and vintage fashion finds from Melville Lane,” said Kate Cooper.

Festival goers can enjoy the ultimate Handpicked experience with the Colonist and The Unley, with both hotel offering festival entry, return bus transfers, a drink on arrival and a grazing lunch before departure for $150 per person.

The Handpicked Festival will host its biggest line up, when Matt Corby, Jet, San Cisco and The Jezabels take to the stage on Saturday November 11th at Lake Breeze Winery, Langhorne Creek.
