This October, the tranquil community space of the Stirling Coventry Library will be transformed into place of celebration and creativity for the Stirling Spring Expressions Festival Masquerade Ball.
Indie favourites Bon Iver return to Australian shores in March 2012 to support the release of their self-titled album, Bon Iver. Following the announcement of their inclusion to the Golden Plains the Sixxxth line-up, Bon Iver will also play a select number of shows in Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide.
Phrase’s latest offering, Babylon, marks a shift for the rapper. Gone are the samples, loops and break beats heard on albums Clockwork and Talk With Force. Instead, a live band and a stripped, organic production-style take their place. Babylon also features guests not typically seen on rap albums, such as Sydney indie group Guineafowl, Alex Burnett of Sparkadia and Australian rock legend Jimmy Barnes.

Adelaide rap ruffians The Funkoars are back to school us young’ns on ‘proper hip-hop’ with their latest release The Quickening. The ‘Drunkoars’ tag has been eschewed for a harder, more mature sound on the new album, their fourth and arguably their most successful and celebrated, debuting at #11 on the ARIA Charts and #1 on the Urban Charts.
