1. The Tour Down Under Right At Your Doorstep
Not only is it the biggest sporting event in SA, it is one of the biggest cycling races in the world and it goes straight through Prospect! The TDU isn’t just a cycling race, there are so many fun events that pop up that create such a great atmosphere including the ‘tourrific’ street party which celebrates Prospect, its people and what it has to offer! Pair that with good food, wine and entertainment with your friends, family and neighbours is a guarantee for a good time.

The new Palace Nova cinema opening was one of the most talked about things this year! The look of the cinema kept in tune with the mid-century aesthetic for which Prospect is renowned for. Featuring 14 screens, the complex comprises eight boutique cinemas and six larger cinemas, including a sharply raked theatre perfect for a Q & A or occasion where there might be a presentation. The inside is lavish and features some remarkable art work – again in tune with the creative, artistic vibe of the neighborhood.
3. 50SixOne
They are the creators of those epic insta-worthy shakes and one of yummiest dessert bars in Adelaide and the new location within the Palace Nova Cinema is yet another divine eatery to check out in Prospect!

4. New Nordic
Located in the new Palace Nova Complex the restaurant experience is casual style dining which exemplifies the culinary philosophies of the Nordic countries. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and uses only the finest local produce!

5. Street Art Work
Prospect have a bunch of incredible street art work, which really livens up the neighborhood! Better yet, it’s always fun to turn the corner and seeing someone’s work on display in the street. It’s like living in an art gallery!
6. Rosemont Hall 1924/Sunnys Shop/Mr. Chan
Owner, Aaron Ratanatray wanted to create a vibrant meeting spot for the community which offers a variety of food and drinks, he has achieved this…tenfold! Rosemount House opened late 2017 as a pan-Asian, hawker-inspired food hall which includes options from Ratanatrays first venture; Sunnys Shop and the new Mr Chan that are seriously jaw-drop good! There are the goodies we all know and love along with some more sophisticated dishes as well as a cocktail bar, juice bar and coffee stall too! The decor is 1920’s inspired and is such a beautiful setting both inside and outdoors. We love going to places where you have such a fab experience and this is exactly that!

7. Vibes in Vine Street
This is one of our personal faves! Every Friday evening in the month of December Vine Street is transformed into a lively outdoor entertainment hub! Pop up bars, alfresco dining and live music – sounds like the ideal Friday night if you ask us!
8. Cafe Komodo
This quirky cafe is probably Prospects best kept secret! If you follow the cute little fairy lights down the alleyway you’ll find yourself in the vintage inspired cafe with exudes 70’s vibes! The space feels like a living room and with the array of collected items it’s almost like walking through a little thrift shop too!! The food is simple done well which is almost the best kind of cuisine?
9. Meze Mazi
If you are yet to try this place, consider this a public service announcement! Located down a quiet side street, this restaurant serves up a menu of dishes derived from old family recipes and is authentically Greek!
10. Prospect 1838
The new benchmark for Adelaide’s future housing market has come to Prospect! Prospect 1838 is a combination of well-planned urban space, modern housing designs and a balance of tree-lined streets and colourful artistic spaces. Easy and affordable living in a fantastic community at Prospect has never sounded better, and is just another reason why Prospect is back on the map!
We’ve hit our 10 reasons! But more just keep coming. Of course, if you’ve been around the Adelaide area you know that another MASSIVE drawcard to Prospect is Muratti Cakes (nom nom nom), but now we have the additional allure of an all new pizza/bar opening in February, Anchovy Bandit!! Looks like this inner northern suburb is definitely looking pretty good heading into 2018!
