For avid golfers out there, playing every golf course in your home state would be a great achievement on which to hang your hat. For two South Aussies, Tony and Matt, this is becoming a reality as they work their way through the 157 courses in SA. Currently they have played and reviewed 68 courses.
Tony and Matt have both played golf since a very young age and enjoy the challenges that golf provides. When they met back in 2003 they discovered each other’s passion for golf. Whilst they were studying at university they used to play once a week, usually at North Adelaide or at Adelaide Shores.
At the end of 2007 when they both finished uni they moved to different areas of country South Australia and began embarking on golfing weekends every 6 weeks or so where they would play up to 6 courses over a weekend. After having played most courses in each of their country areas they were looking for other places to play.
So, at the beginning of 2008 they came up with an idea… To play every golf course in the state of South Australia.
Since beginning this mission, they have kept a scorecard of each course and have used a system to rate the courses that they’ve play so that other people may get enjoyment from this adventure. They have also reviewed each course as they’ve played it, and written blogs regularly to share their experiences.
