The unspeakably talented urban artist and all-around style icon Lisa King has recently completed a new giant-sized piece on Payneham Rd in College Park. The piece is for the Belly Dance Arabesque ladies and their wall next to the busy eastern thoroughfare.
If you’re criminally unaware of King’s oeuvre, she’s the creator of a number of iconic Adelaidean murals that have gone up over the last few years.
She did the epic triptych down the recently redesigned Station Lane (featuring a very well known face):
You might have noticed that she has an entirely understandable fixation with David Bowie and his alter-ego, Ziggy Stardust. Case in point; the epic mural she did on The Maid pub’s walls.
Pink n red ain't dead. And neither is Bowie. I painted my studio pink, I painted the gallery walls pink, I even painted @sebastienfougere pink. And now I am super excited to show you what's up next….. It's all part of my Pozible Campaign which is being launched August 31 at The Mill, Adelaide 😍⚡️❤️💘
And the awesome “Bowie sisters” triptych in Toowoomba:
King’s most recent work was for the Wall to Wall Festival in the small town of Benalla, Victoria:
We’re keenly looking forward to King’s next massive mural piece. To follow her work, check out Lisa’s Insta feed.
