Lindes Lane Has Been Named The Best Wine Bar In The Country

And they’re celebrating with a laneway soiree this Saturday (and plenty of drink specials).

Hidden in a laneway off Rundle Mall, one of Adelaide’s wine bars has been named best in the country.

Lindes Lane was named Best Beer Café/ Wine Bar Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering Awards at Sydney’s Luna Park on Monday night.

Not bad for a bar that started as a simple pop-up!

Lindes Lane actually originally opened as a laneway bar as part of the Fringe Festival in 2014.

Their success meant they expanded into the neighbouring building with a permanent venue. Then a year later they launched The Barlow Room downstairs, a hidden speakeasy style lounge bar.

The bar is all about supporting independent brewers and winemakers, with constantly revolving beer taps, over 60 local and international beers in the fridge and a extensive and diverse wine list.

Manager Jo Phillis said the Lindes Lane team is, “shocked and elated” by the win.

Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering Awards, the bar took out the top spot thanks to their exceptional service, atmosphere and value for money.

To celebrate (and thank their beloved customers), Lindes Lane is holding a Golden Drink Day this Saturday November 3, with plenty of drink specials ($5 tap beers, $8 French bubbly and some $8 wines) plus $10 pizzas and $3 coffees.

Lindes Lane & The Barlow Room are just off Rundle Mall, near the Malls Balls. For more visit lindeslane.com.au
