Latin American Tapas Bar And Deli Hits Adelaide Central Markets

This Friday, Cumbia is hitting the Adelaide Central Markets. We’ve been told you can expect a passionate and all-consuming fusion of South American cuisine, music and folklore.

Adelaide Central Market is gorgeous just the way it is. It’s historic, fresh and always exciting. But if it’s missing one thing it would have to be a Latin American tapas bar and deli, right? (We’re sure that was going through your head).

Well, Adelaide, there is no need to dream any longer, because it is on its way. This Friday, in fact. Called Cumbia, this new venue looks set to completely shake up our city dining experiences.

We’ve been told you can expect a passionate and all-consuming fusion of South American cuisine, music and folklore. Think: global gastronomic experiences, fusions of traditional Latin flavours with a contemporary Australian edge, and of course, divine drinks.

With tapas style meals and a range of deli products for purchase, there are many ways to enjoy Cumbia.

Cumbia are hoping to bring a unique selection of Latin American tastes and cooking traditions to the multicultural blend that already exists within the Central Market.

You can expect a vibrant and inviting interior, rich with South American imagery and culture. We don’t have images yet – just artist impressions – but we will be sure to keep you updated.

This new Colombian cafe/bar/restaurant is set to open its doors on Friday July 20 to coincide with Colombian Independence Day. Cumbia will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner on Friday, with live music from 6.30pm to celebrate the opening. Get ready, Adelaide! More details here.
