With 2015 in full swing, it is time for the William Buck Langhorne Creek Wine Show; giving the ‘Champion Wine’ producer bragging rights for the next 12 months.

To celebrate, the region will once again host a spectacular awards Luncheon followed by a relaxed Tasting event in May all under the Grand Marquee. Choose one or both, but you won’t want to miss out.

Langhorne Creek Grape and Wine Executive Officer, Lian Jaensch says “many will already be familiar with the annual Wine Show Tasting, taking place on Sunday May 3 this year, but we are excited to be taking our events to a stunning new location overlooking magnificent gum trees and vineyards at The Winehouse cellar door and function centre in Langhorne Creek.”

The Tasting provides a public event for wine lovers to sample and buy from over 150 wines entered into this year’s Wine Show including the William Buck Champion Wine. Compare the trophy winners across the field and discover your own winner while enjoying live music and sumptuous food by the ever popular Appleseed Café.

Events Coordinator Kristy Martin is looking forward to her first Wine Show Tasting event, “this will be a great day for everyone to relax and enjoy some spectacular wines in a superb atmosphere and all within an easy one hour drive from Adelaide.”

Of course for the avid wine enthusiasts this might not be enough so there is always the outstanding Langhorne Creek Wine Show Luncheon on Friday May 1. This ticketed event is a riotous day of awards, laughter, superb food by Two Brothers Catering, an outrageous charity auction and of course incredible wines.

“We can look forward to some brilliant wine selections again this year, being fortunate enough to have the skills of our judges Iain Riggs from Brokenwood and pithy wine writer Nick Ryan this year joined by Margo Muir, manager of the Edinburgh Cellars,” says Lian.

“The highlight will of course be the announcement of the Champion Wine of the show by our regional sponsor William Buck and the meal is served with no less than the trophy winning wines across eight classes.”
