Ladies of Variety presents: LOV a Surprise Party

On Monday 1st August 2011 the Adelaide Convention Centre will be overrun by 900 children while acting as host to Variety’s Ladies of Variety (LOV) first annual “LOV a Surprise Party.”

The surprise party is hoped to be added as a third annual signature event to the program of events organized by LOV; a group of dedicated professional women who volunteer their time to help bring smiles to children in need in South Australia.

Set up at the event will be a Liberty Swing (which is one of the items) that Variety supplies to Children with a physical impairment, to experience the joy of swinging at the playground.

The event will be full of entertainment for the children attending, Adelaide Cover band “Flaming Sambuccas” will be there singing popular ABBA songs, along with further entertainment provided by Adelaide children’s performance company “Theatre Bugs.”

Joining in and adding to the fun of the day will also be clowns, twisted balloon art, and Variety Bashers in costumes dressed as popular children characters including; Willy Wonka’s, M&M’s, Super Girls, and Ice-Cream Man. A number of mascots will also make special appearances at the event such as; Termimesh, Adelaide Crow, Variety Heart, Mr. Fruchoc and Lawby.

All events created by LOV for disabled or disadvantaged children up until the age of 18 are designed to bring joy to all participants. This event is of course no exception, the aim of the event is for the children to enjoy themselves and create some everlasting memories.

The Adelaide Convention Centre is thrilled to be hosting this event and is ‘bending over backwards’ to make this day exciting and memorable for all children involved.
