In news that equally excites and terrifies us, Kmart has announced the introduction of Afterpay from tomorrow, September 18th.
If you haven’t discovered this amazing payment option, it allows you to purchase items and take them home, spreading out four equal instalments, due every two weeks. The first payment is due at the time of purchase.
Now while we don’t endorse going out and spending a motza every time Kmart releases a new velvet chair or new season homewares range, we know it DOES happen, even to the best of us, so at least we now have some options up our sleeve when it comes to dishing out the cash.
I know I for one, am more likely to manage 4 payments for Afterpay, and have my shopping binge done and dusted (& paid off) in 2 months, rather than dragging things out with a never-ending credit card.
So I guess it’s time to start planning our new Spring makeovers for the home, or even get organised for Christmas presents this year (for a change).
Kmart aren’t the first to get on board with this, with Target already offering Afterpay on their online purchases between $50-$1000.
