KILLERS starring Ashton Kutcher, Katherine Heigl, is a hilarious and wildly unpredictable action comedy about love, marriage and serious firepower, starringTom Selleck and Catherine O’Hara, and directed by Australia’s very own Robert Luketic. Ashton Kutchner first gained recognition starring in the hit comedy series That 70’s show, then as co-creator and producer of the MTV phenomenon Punk’d. He has starred in a variety of box office screen hits on the big screen including Valentine’s Day, What Happens in Vegas, The Guardian, The Butterfly Effect and the cult hit Dude, Where’s My Car.
Robert Luketic was born in Sydney, but now resides in Los Angeles where he’s earned huge accolades as a director, working with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. He made his feature film directorial debut in 2001 with the smash hit Legally Blonde, which was nominated for 2 Golden Globe Awards. He has since directed a number of Hollywood box office hits including The Ugly Truth, 21 and Monster – in – law.
KILLERS released in cinemas nationally on July 29. Trying to recover from a sudden break up, Jen Kornfeldt (Katherine Heigl) reluctantly joins her parents on a trip to the French Riviera where she happens to meet the man of her dreams, the dashing handsome Spencer Aimes (Kutchner). Three years later, her seemingly impossible wish has come true: she and Spencer are newlyweds living the ideal suburban life – that is, until the morning after Spencer’s 30th birthday when bullets start flying. Literally. It turns out Spencer never told Jen he was once an international super-spy, and now Jen’s perfect world has been turned upside down. Faced with the fact that her husband is a hit man, Jen is deetermined to discover what other secrets Spencer might be keeping – all the while trying to dodge bullets, keep up neighbourly appearances, manage the in-laws and work out some major trust issues. And you thought suburban life was easy.
