Junglebean presents ‘Two’

Two“It’s not often (alas) you can see a theatre production set and acted in a bar where you get served by the actors on arrival!” Terri-Louise Kelly (Independent Weekly).

New Adelaide based theatre company Junglebean, who brought you ‘Autobahn’ in 2009, presents ‘Two’, a hilarious and touching piece of theatre that takes place over one night, in the front bar of a typical North English pub.

‘Back by popular demand’ after a successful season in October 2009 Jim Cartwright’s ‘Two’, perfectly depicts the oddball regulars who visit their local pub seeking the comfort and escape of a pint of Guinness, and the hectic life of a pub owner struggling to cope with the ‘copping offs’, ‘falling outs’, and a ‘birth in the snug!’

For lovers of unconventional theatre sit back in a cabaret setting with a pint of beer or a glass of wine whilst your landlords for the evening, the indefatigable Renee Gentle and Tim Overton, in a flurry of “polished performances” and quick-change costuming bring to life 14 lively locals.

A play directed by award winning South Australian director Michael Hill, designed by Cassandra Backler, and featuring an original score composed by Evan Bassani.

‘We become privy to their stories in this occasionally funny, often touching, but mostly poignant piece” Barry Lenny (Glam Adelaide)

“Two is a remarkably versatile, yet linear work- easy on the eye, ear and more importantly, palate!” Terri-Louise Kelly (Independent Weekly)
