The glamorous face of Myer – Jennifer Hawkins, hosted a fashion workshop in the MYER Adelaide City Store on Wednesday, 24 March.
Amid hundreds of fans and fashion enthusiasts, Jennifer unveiled this seasons hottest Autumn Winter trends for both men and women – the 80’s Revival, Layers and Drapes, and Classic 40’s.
The ‘80’s Revival’ sees the return of bold shoulders, luxe fabrications and embellishments. In contrast, the polished ‘40’s’ inspired fashions also make a strong return with lady-like silhouettes and geek chic for gents.
The ‘Layers and Drapes’ trend is perfect for rugging up in the cooler months and sees layering of textures and a variety of fabrics including silks and knits.
A selection of Myer’s leading Australian designers and iconic brands including Maticevski, Manning Cartell, Wayne Cooper, CUE, Basque and T by Bettina Liano were showcased by top local models – Rachel Strickland, Rebecca Seidel (recently returned from New York), Georgi Merrill, Amy Fromm and Edward from Finesse.
Jennifer happily signed autographs and posed for photos with fans at the conclusion of the workshop.
Jennifer’s appearance in Adelaide marked the fourth stop on a whirlwind National tour following Myer’s spectacular Autumn Winter 2010 Collection Launch at Melbourne’s iconic Sidney Myer Music Bowl. The tour will see her travel to Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane to celebrate the launch of Autumn Winter fashion at Myer.
