After two massive episodes featuring 90s punk legends Regurgitator, Canberra’a electro-pop outfit Safia, Sydney duo Boo Seeka and local legends Heaps Good Friends, Jam Live is changing the tempo a little!
The third episode delves into the middle of a forest called ‘The Range’ for Porchland Festival. You’ll see the likes of Triple J Unearthed Artist of 2017 Stella Donnelly, Melbourne Hip-Hop Soul Sensation 30/70 and local hero Bjear, all take to a stage deep in the woods.
Stella Donnelly has fast tracked her career from zero to a hundred in 2017. Stella not only took out the Levis Music Prize at Big Sound in Brisbane, she also scored herself Triple J Unearthed artist of 2017. Her song ‘Boys will be Boys’ was rated fourth best song of the year by Rolling Stone magazine and also has gained plenty of national praise. This girl has plenty of charm and knows how to break hearts with her incredible song writing abilities.
Presenter, Shanelle Franklin takes you back stage at Porchland to chat with Stella Donnelly about her overseas tours and recent award wins.
You’ll also catch 30/70 who bring something a little different to the music scene. Their critically acclaimed album ‘Elevate’ is receiving some huge praise world wide. They’ve also played at a large range of summer festivals and know how to pack at audience.
Lastly, Adelaide born Bjear will take you on a journey through the storytelling and imagery of Icelandic elvish folklore. His lyrical talents and soft beats will soon show you just how talented he is! Definitely one we are proud to call our own.
