It’s a Disco On The Green This Weekend!

Disco fever hits McLaren Vale this weekend with KC AND THE SUNSHINE BANDVILLAGE PEOPLE, SISTER SLEDGE and MARCIA HINES head to Leconfield Wines for a day on the green.
With a mirror ball’s worth of sparkling ’70s smash hits to their collective names, these disco legends are ready to get down and boogie through the day and night.
All the artists will all perform with full bands to roll out hits including That’s The Way (I Like It), Give It Up, Boogie Shoes, Get Down Tonight, Please Don’t Go, Shake Your Booty, Y.M.C.A, In The Navy, Macho Man, Go West, We Are Family, He’s The Greatest Dancer and Lost In Music – to name but a few.
How much fun will this be!
Formed in Florida in 1973 by Harry Wayne Casey (KC), the Grammy-Award winning KC AND THE SUNSHINE BAND have sold more than 100 million records, have a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame and have ruled dancefloors around the world for decades with their irresistible blend of funk, disco and R&B.
The VILLAGE PEOPLE’s special bond with Australian fans is set to continue, with the return of original lead singer and ‘cop’ Victor Willis to front the band for the first time in 35 years. The revamped group will also be backed by a full live band for the first time in decades.  Flamboyant, good-time, sing-along fun is what the VILLAGE PEOPLE always deliver!
Debbie and Kim Sledge, known to their legions of fans as SISTER SLEDGE, are still tearing up dancefloors with their incredible live shows.  As one of the original ‘girl groups’, the sisters have accumulated an incredible string of Gold and Platinum albums and chart-topping hits and still love nothing better than to share the stage together.
Joining the celebration at a day on the green shows will be Australia’s own disco royalty – who else but the fabulous MARCIA HINES.  Inducted in the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007 and awarded the Order of Australia (AM) in 2009, Marcia remains one of our best-loved stars.
Can you feel the funk we say!
