Looking for somewhere new to go on a Friday night? Or maybe you’re a regular who didn’t get to pop in last week. Either way, come down to Au Haus this Friday to try their new Container Cocktails.

What is so different about these cocktails, you ask? They’re all made from fresh fruit, each ingredient perfectly complimenting the next. From white rum to Canadian whisky, each concoction has a different poison – except it’s served in a much tastier manner which won’t have you wincing at that burning sensation as it slips down your throat. The best part though, is that they are shaken and served in retro (reasonably-sized) jars which now make your average glass appear terribly boring.

Unfortunately if you missed out on the launch last week, you also missed out on a complimentary cocktail. However, at $10 a jar, give a couple – or maybe, all – of them a try. A personal favourite is the Fresh Prince but if you are after something a little bit more fun, give the pineapple-infused Bora Bora a go or the peachy Toronto Tea – which tastes surprisingly similar to its Lipton counterpart except with a cheeky addition of Canadian whisky. The L’Americano with its Campari and sloe gin makes for a more distinguished audience while the Rita Hayworth – like its namesake – is sweet and refreshing with a little fizz from the added ginger ale.

Tucked away upstairs at Distill on Rundle Street with dim lights and disco tunes, Au Haus has recently been rebranded but still promises every one of its stylish patrons the familiar laidback atmosphere and a great time. So head on down and check out the new range of cocktails – they’re $10 each before 11pm. Although, you should probably get in early anyway, it is an East End hot spot after all.
