Hundreds Of Hunger Games Sessions Scheduled

Australia’s number one exhibitor Event Cinemas, Greater Union and Birch Carroll & Coyle Cinemas will have 100 opening midnight sessions of the hotly anticipated new blockbuster The Hunger Games (M), including in Vmax and Gold Class, to meet continually growing customer demand for tickets.

The film, based on the first of the best-selling book trilogy by Suzanne Collins, already has tens of thousands of advance ticket sales as excitement grows in the lead-up to the opening at 12.01am on Thursday 22 March 2012. On top of the 100 midnight sessions, a further 600 sessions have also been scheduled across the opening weekend in response to customer demand.

Telling the story of a 16-year-old girl who champions a revolution in a post-apocalyptic world, The Hunger Games (M) is the most anticipated film of the year so far. Additional excitement is also building in Australia with the cast including home- grown “Neighbours” TV star and now international movie heart throb, Liam Hemsworth.

With bigger seats, bigger screens, bigger sound and more legroom, the greatest demand for The Hunger Games (M) tickets is in Event Cinemas popular Vmax.

Seats are also still available to experience The Hunger Games (M) in all the luxury of Gold Class as well as traditional cinemas. Sessions will continue to be added in line with demand, to ensure fans have plenty of opportunities to see the movie.

Tickets are on sale online and on mobile at eventcinemas.com.au. When buying at eventcinemas.com.au, customers also have the chance to get the soundtrack of the film featuring big name artists including Taylor Swift and Maroon 5, at 20% off RRP through a deal with Universal Music.
