Here’s 5 New Stallholders At Gathered Markets You Won’t Want To Miss

We’ve got the inside scoop on the five new stallholders at this August’s Gathered market. Every time the market is on, we’re always in awe of their beautiful set-up and incredible stallholders.

Gathered Market is back again, held in the magical setting that is The Queens Theatre on August 5-6. With handpicked South Australian vendors and live acoustic entertainment, you’ll be able to relax in the beautifully styled spaces and enjoy some delicious food and drink. There’s even workshops to keep you creatively entertained by some of South Australia’s best artistically minded stallholders.

You may have been to Gathered before and have some favourite stallholders, whether that’s Fleur De Lys, Elle Hill Jewellery, Laura Jayne Wicks The Label, or one of their many others. But this time around, there are five new stallholders, and from what we’ve heard, they’re worth keeping an eye out for.

Adelaide’s Pop-Up Bookshop

Adelaide’s Pop-up Bookshop

Established by experienced book purveyors Kate Treloar & Nick Patrick, Adelaide’s Pop-up Bookshop breaks all the rules. Crusaders for the wonderful bookshops Adelaide has lost, they realised they couldn’t replicate. Instead, they’ve established a new style with a variety of bookshops Adelaide can get excited about.

Constantly moving around Adelaide, they may pop-up – seemingly by magic – in a shopfront or the street, in a cafe or a market. Describing themselves as kind of like an exclusive club for discerning readers, they’ll be popping in to Gathered Market and we can’t wait to see what spell-binding read we find next.

Vintage Earth

Vintage Earth

What began as an obsession of succulents has grown to a love of concrete, indoor plants and all things rustic, for Michelle from Vintage Earth.

She hand pours, seals and paints every concrete pot, so you can be assured that no two are exactly alike. All of her succulents and indoor plants are locally or home grown in Adelaide and carefully selected and planted for each individual pot. Head past and grab something special for a special someone (or yourself).

Ettie Ink

Ettie Ink

Need something to make your living room stand out? The Ettie Ink stall will have a collection of artworks by Adelaide designer, Michelle Fogden, featuring geometric woodblocks, hand-painted wood panels, metallic hand-leafed prints and a range of open and limited edition prints.

Michelle’s range includes original acrylic paintings on wood and canvas, open and limited edition prints and some cute stationery too. Her calendar is super popular and has sold out since its release in 2015, so if you want to pick yourself up one of them, you’ll have to head in quickly. Well known for her unique, hand-leafed, geometric prints in copper and gold, they’ve featured in a number of publications including Real Living and Home Beautiful magazines.

Easton Inc

Easton Inc

With a gorgeous range of home wares, specialising in kids bedroom decor pieces, Easton Inc’s pieces are all handmade and ‘perfectly imperfect’.

If you’re looking for something made with love, this is the place to head. Featuring lots of organic edges (‘that’s just a fancy way for me to say sometimes things are a bit crooked’, says owner, Peppa) you can see that she puts a lot of time and love into making a piece that will feature in your little one’s room for years to come. By using raw wood, you can rest assured you’ll have a piece that’s perfectly unique for you and your littlies.

Stephanie James-Manttan

Stephanie James-Manttan

You’ll usually see Stephanie in her ceramics studio in The Barn, throwing pots and creating gorgeous sculptural porcelain objects. Now a stallholder at Gathered Market, you’ll be able to see her pieces in all their glory.

With work influenced by indigenous basket weaving and the natural organic nature of the material, her porcelain pieces are delicate and soft. The translucency, texture and intricacy of each peace makes it difficult to believe they are handmade ceramics. While they would make a stunning addition to your home, you can also learn to make them yourself by signing up for one of her classes while you’re there.

For only a $2 entry fee, you can enjoy all these beautiful stallholders and their artwork, and many more. Gathered have everything from jewellery, to food and drinks, to skincare, homewares and pretty much everything else under the sun. With musical entertainment all day, as well as a number of workshops you can enjoy, you’ll never be without something to do.
