Wine Capital on Holland copy50 South Australian winemakers will take over the Market Shed on Holland this Saturday afternoon to celebrate the Wine Capital of Australia.

The event will feature more than 200 wines matched to organic food provided by Market Shed traders, wine lovers can taste or buy wines by the glass or bottle and enjoy with everything from a wood fired pizza to a Moroccan tagine.

Entry is easy, guests simply need to download the smartphone App 365daysofwineandfood and pay $5 at the door for a tasting glass and five free tasting tokens.

According to organiser Brian Smedley from the SA Wine Industry Association this is the third event in a series promoting the state’s new wine brand: Adelaide – The Wine Capital of Australia.

“It will be a virtual gourmet weekend in the city with wineries from the Barossa, McLaren Vale, Clare, Langhorne Creek, Adelaide Hills, The Riverland and Coonawarra all under one roof.”
