Holden dealerships across Adelaide will come alive to the sound of music on Saturday as Adelaide guitarists fill six Holden showrooms with the sweet strumming of the world’s favorite instrument.
A prelude to the Adelaide Guitar Festival – which runs from August 11-14 and has Holden as a proud sponsor and vehicle supplier – six Adelaide dealerships will play host to guitarists playing a range of music styles from about 2.30pm on Saturday as part of the Guitars in Bars & Other Places event.
Participating dealerships include City Holden, Metro Holden, Southgate Holden, Peter Kittle Holden, Hamilton Holden and Plaza Holden.
Guitars in Bars is taking the best of Adelaide’s live music to a range of venues beyond the usual pubs and clubs and putting them into galleries, wineries and other public spaces.
The Adelaide Guitar Festival, a biennial event, is the most significant festival of its kind held in the Southern Hemisphere, bringing masterful artists from around the world together with some of the best Australian musicians to deliver an eclectic and entertaining program of events.
Holden has provided the Adelaide Guitar Festival with four fabulous Holden 2016 models including a Cascada, Trax, Insignia and a Captiva, all of which are dressed in eye-catching Adelaide Guitar Festival livery.
