Griff the Invisible

Griff – office worker by day, superhero by night – has his world turned upside down when he meets Melody, a beautiful young scientist who shares his passion for the impossible.

Adding to the accolades and rave reviews received at its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, it has been announced that Aussie film, GRIFF THE INVISIBLE will have its European premiere in the Berlin International Film Festival’s “Generation” sidebar.

Described by Encore magazine as “Kick Ass meets Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, GRIFF THE INVISIBLE is a fresh, highly original comedic love story from the wildly fertile imagination of debut feature film writer / director Leon Ford. It hits cinemas across Australia in March 2011.

“It’s been pretty overwhelming to see the way audiences are embracing Griff so warmly and enthusiastically all over the world – first at its world premiere at Toronto, then at early preview screenings in Australia and now we get the chance to reveal the film to a European audience at the Berlin Film Festival, just before its theatrical release in cinemas across Australia” said Leon Ford.

The film stars Australian actor Ryan Kwanten in the lead role of Griff (star of the international TV smash hit, True Blood and recent recipient of GQ Australia magazine’s “Man of the Year” award) and Maeve Dermody as Melody (AFI nominated for her role in the critical and box office success, Beautiful Kate). It also co-stars talented local actors, Patrick Brammall, Toby Schmitz, Marshall Napier and Heather Mitchell.

The film is produced by Nicole O’Donohue and executive producers are Jan Chapman (The Piano, Lantana, Bright Star) and Scott Meek (Velvet Goldmine, Hal Hartley’s Amateur).
