Greatest lineup ever announced at Adelaide’s QBE Insurance Carols by Candlelight

There is only one place to be on Sunday, December 10…..Elder Park for Adelaide’s best ever line up of talent for QBE Insurance Carols by Candlelight.

It’s Adelaide’s largest, free Christmas concert and this year promises to showcase the best talent yet.

QBE Insurance Carols by Candlelight, Executive Producer, Shauna Kane said: “With Dami Im, Samantha Jade, Lucy Durack and Harrison Craig already confirmed, we are over the moon to announce today that Amber Lawrence, Sam Moran, John Swan, Taylor Henderson, and Cameron Daddo join the star studded line up.”

“This year the event will host big stars with big hearts. This truly is the most diverse and exciting line-up of talent at Adelaide’s much treasured Christmas carolling event.”

Cameron Daddo stole our hearts on the dating show Perfect Match in the eighties and since then he has a long list of TV, theatre, film roles and achievements. But he’s also a talented musician, singing and playing guitar with the likes of Keith Urban. Adelaide audiences will be jumping for joy as he is starring as the Narrator in The Rocky Horror Show at the Adelaide Festival Centre from 28 December for three weeks only.

Australian country music singer-songwriter and Golden Guitar winning, Amber Lawrence is loved for her heartwarming and captivating songs about Australia. Amber brings much joy around Australia, mentoring young artists, performing for children at schools, and is an ambassador for the Special Olympics, RSL DefenceCare and the Stroke Foundation.

With his latest album, “Santa’s Coming!” TV entertainer Sam Moran will have the kids up dancing and singing at this year’s event with songs from his latest album. Sam is host of the children’s series, Play Along With Sam. He won an ARIA Award for the Most Outstanding Children’s Album in 2015 for Play Along with Sam – Boo.

John Swan, brother to Jimmy Barnes and better known as Swanee, is an Australian rock singer icon who proudly calls Adelaide home. John has an Order of Australia medal for his charity work with Vietnam vets, homeless people in his hometown of Adelaide and the charity Do Unto Others. Swan regularly visits Adelaide hospitals including teaching music to people with head injuries to help them improve their hand-eye co-ordination. John will be bringing Australian rock to the Carols stage.

Taylor Henderson has achieved incredible success since starring on both Australia’s Got Talent and The X Factor. Within the following year, he launched his career with number one singles and two #1 ARIA albums amongst other chart, radio and touring highlights. Taylor makes a welcome return to Carols.

Expected to attract many fans, Carols has a limited ticketed Gold Class seating option, which offers prime viewing of the main stage and reserved seating. Tickets start at $40 plus booking fee.

The 2017 QBE Insurance Carols by Candlelight will be held throughout Elder Park on December 10, with the Christmas Carnival starting at 2pm. Pre-show entertainment will begin at 5pm and with the main show starting at 8.00pm.

Hosted by Channel Seven’s Rosanna Mangiarelli, Mark Soderstrom and Amelia Mulcahy, the 2017 event will feature a sensational line-up of artists singing all-time favourite carols and Christmas songs, followed by a spectacular fireworks display.

Now in its 73rd year QBE Insurance Carols by Candlelight, proudly presented by the Government of South Australia and Holden, is Adelaide’s biggest carols event, attracting generations of families to enjoy classic Christmas carols and live entertainment in a festive community atmosphere in beautiful Elder Park.
