THE PAPERSHELL LODGE, WILLUNGA

Nestled within an almond orchard, The Papershell Lodge is on the doorstep of one of our most infamous wine regions, McLaren Vale. The Lodge is a beautiful cedar-clad self-contained studio, with the accommodation upstairs.

Wake up to birds chirping and stunning views of the Fleurieu Peninsula coastline, enjoy breakfast on the balcony with views over the canopy of the orchard right through to Pt Willunga. In late July / early August the almond orchard is in full blossom and looks spectacular!

Guests are treated to fresh produce, almonds, freshly laid eggs, muesli, baked treats, relishes, jams, pickles – whatever the season brings.

The owners encourage guests to switch off, by taking a stroll around the property to the orchards along a creek path, the Greenhouse where seedlings are flourishing and to feed the resident chooks and sheep!

THE COACH HOUSE, BAROSSA

The Coach House Bed and Breakfast is the perfect destination for exploring the Barossa Valley wine region. Located in the heart of Gawler this is the cozy escape you need, with local boutiques, pubs and restaurants a five minute walk away.

This idyllic heritage building has some uniquely modern touches, including an open-roof rain shower, loft bedroom and generous kitchen and living spaces.

This destination is perfectly equipped for a wine-filled weekend away.

APPLETON HOUSE, MOUNT LOFTY

Located in the scenic Adelaide Hills, this accomodation is one of the most popular the Hills have to offer. Soak in views of the hills, ocean and city and watch kangaroos, koalas and kookaburras just outside your window.

Enjoy drops from the best wineries in the Adelaide hills, walk the leafy and quiet streets of Crafers and Stirling, traverse the Mount Lofty Summit and take a stroll through Cleland Wildlife Reserve. Venture into the The Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens for a picnic or explore the historic township of Hahndorf, and the German heritage it has to offer.

Eat at the Crafers Hotel which is just a three minute drive away or experience fine-dining excellence at Mount Lofty House, which offers degustation dining.

Return to Appleton House after a day out and curl up by the fire in cooler months.

Venture to Marion Bay to stay in a luxury glamping tent or charming tiny house that is completely off the grid. This quaint seaside town is right on the door step of the gorgeous Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park, where you can explore the wonders of nature.

Stay in the tiny house and soak up views of kangaroo and emu filled native grassland, eat breakfast on the deck, relax on the beach, watch the spectacular sunset and retreat to your loft-style bedroom.

Sleep beneath the stars in a luxury bell tent, which is kitted out with a queen bed, bottle of bubbles and fairy lights. Feel content knowing your stay will have a minimal impact on this slice of paradise, with solar powered and rainwater reliant amenities making this accomodation completely sustainable.

BLUESEAS BEACH HOUSE, KANGAROO ISLAND

Step outside onto your very own private beach, with a sandy shore where the only footprints are your own. Overlooking D’Estrees Bay, this island paradise is a family friendly accomodation sleeping up to six guests. Walk on the beach, swim, snorkel, surf or explore the surrounding bushland.

Bring in each day with a wine and cheese platter on the deck, with family and friends, overlooking the picturesque and natural landscape of Kangaroo Island.

Tread lightly with renewable solar and rainwater amenities. Blueseas Beach House is an environmentally conscious escape, that still offers modern luxuries.

THE MANOR BASKET RANGE, ADELAIDE HILLS

Relax in the picturesque Basket Range in the Adelaide Hills in a legitimate castle! Enjoy a platter of local produce on the balcony or find a space on the shared terrace or in the gardens to unwind. The Manor townhouses are situated within The Manor Basket Range, a country estate and historic castle, an iconic property & event space which has just undergone a multi-million dollar refurbishment.

THE TREEHOUSE IN A VINEYARD, SELLICKS HILL

This one may be our favourite on the list. Just 40 minutes from the CBD stands the architect designed two storey house completely surrounded by native trees, overlooking the vineyard all the way to the ocean. Whether you’re looking for a romantic stay or a solo escape to the countryside, this is a must-experience destination.

THE CUBE ON THE MURRAY RIVER, MURRAY RIVER

This is definitely another favourite of ours and one we simply couldn’t forget. “The Cube” on the Murray River is a gorgeously modern and innovative concept that combines luxurious living, with a bit of an odd twist. You’ll be unwinding on a floating cube house and what better setting than the beautiful tranquility of the Murray River. Definitely put this one on your bucket list.

A secluded bungalow sequestered away in Adelaide’s foothills, The Stirling House is the ultimate destination to enjoy the impending autumnal colours of the surrounding trees. A roomy choice with space for ten and an extremely capable kitchen and entertaining area, this is a great choice for wanting to enjoy a guilty weekend with their mates. D’ESTREES BAY BEACH HOUSE, D’ESTREES BAY

We love a K.I. getaway destination, and D’Estrees Bay Beach House has to be one of the loveliest choices on the island. A sleek, modern villa overlooking the beautiful south-eastern coast of K.I., the location has comfortable accommodation for 10 guests, a beautiful living area with floor-to-ceiling windows to maximise that stunning panorama and beautiful kitchen. You’ll want to stock up on goods before heading out on the half-hour drive from the Penneshaw ferry, but once you arrive, you and your friends will find yourselves never wanting to leave.

THE SKY HOUSE, MIDDLE RIVER

Yep, it’s another K.I. destination, but this one’s different, promise. If you’ve ever wanted to stay in Spanish-style hacienda, but don’t want to spend the extra to actually travel halfway across the world, then The Sky House is the destination for you. The rammed earth villa is located at the top of a picturesque bluff in Middle River on the northern coast of Kangaroo Island, and boasts a distinctly Mediterranean style. With a spacious patio on which to knock back tall glasses of sangria, this is the ideal choice for a week-long siesta!

MARTINSELL MANOR, PEWSEY VALE

Everyone who’s watched or read a period romance has probably wanted to pretend to live like the aristocracy at least once. Noble titles are few and far between in Australia, but you can still put on airs if you stay up at this majestic location in the Pewsey Vale wine region. A historic manor with room for four nobles that has been refurbished in keeping with the old world charm, you’ll be able to stroll around the gardens under a lace parasol or duel with flintlock pistols for the affection of your beloved. There’s even a pool on the greens for a damp Colin Firth to tumble into. You’ll have to supply your own butler, though.
