Get Your Drink On At Adelaide’s Newest Gin Club

Do you like it shaken or stirred?

Gin is best tasted at room temperature and diluted with an equal quantity of water. The country that drinks the most gin per capita is The Philippines. It was used to battle malaria. Gin is delicious. These are all facts about gin. Another fact, Adelaide has a new spot where you can enjoy all of the gin!

The Stirling Hotel, already known for its amazing vibe, its awesome deck perfect for a drink on a Summer’s day and some seriously delicious pizza, are introducing the Stirling Gin Club. With eleven gins from Australian distillers ranging from the Adelaide Hills to the Yarra Valley, plus another six varieties of unique gins from global distillers from around the world, this will be any gin lover’s idea of pure heaven.

So who are the geniuses behind this brilliant idea? That would be Richard Rogosic, the Assistant Manager at The Stirling Hotel, and Michael Stafford, the Manager of The Stirling Cellars & Patisserie. Their love for this liquid gold (minus the gold) brought them together on this gin journey…

Having educated themselves on all things gin (hey, someone had to do it), they want to offer something a little different. Having dabbled in studying the botanicals and flavours behind all of the gin varieties that they will stock, they believe that this will harness them with the magical powers to serve the perfect flavour combinations. From garnishes added into the drink, to the mixers used. It will all be carefully thought out to match the gin perfectly.

All this gin deliciousness needs to be enjoyed in the perfect environment, and the boys have managed to create just that… With a chalkboard offering their recommendations, the chance to discuss and really understand what you are drinking, plus the pizza from The Stirling Hotel’s wood oven hopefully ending up in your tummy at some stage (it will be just next door), all culminating to make the ultimate gin tasting experience. Plus the accompaniments will also be displayed in jars next to the coinciding gin, to help create a picture for the customer. How thoughtful!

And did you know that gin can be healthy? Well, at least it will have a healthy spin on it, when every weekend, the guys will be serving up hot and cold tea infused with gin. Gin tea… we will give it a go!

Richard says the plan is to deliver, “…range, support, education, satisfaction, and most importantly a bit of fun.”

Sounds like our kind of jam! Luckily we are heading to the launch of this cracker so keep you eye on all things Glam Adelaide to get your first look!
