Fashion Concept has today announced the opening of a new Adelaide based runway to retail project…. Fashion Concept Collective.
Some of Adelaide’s local fashion designers and their amazing labels will be showcased in this unique pop up retail space set up in the prestigious shopping hotspot, Adelaide Central Plaza. No more skipping the State to find phenomenal fashion, it will all be right here!
Following two successful runway shows earlier this year, Director Hue Le and Creative Director Lily Lou have made the decision to bring the runway to the people of Adelaide. With the support of Renew Adelaide and Adelaide Central Plaza, the girl’s fashion vision is set to come to life.
“The reason behind the store is so Adelaide designers can showcase and sell their designs in a retail setting. It’s great to have fashion parades to showcase what the designers can do but the real aim is to get people buying the garments.
What I hope to achieved from this concept store is to really help designers sell their label to the public. The designers can get feedback on what sells and what doesn’t and why it may not be selling. As for buyers they can get a better understanding about the local label and who is behind the labels,” says Hue.
Local designers including Yvonne Faye, Revoque, Willow and Grace, Ashlee Graham and foolsandtrolls are set to showcase in the space. An exclusive Launch Night will see guests get up close and personal with the garments before the space opens to the public, with a special announcement of even more designers set to appear in the space happening on the night.
…at the end of the day it’s important to help the designers sell their garments as much as it is about showcasing. That’s what we hope to achieved with this new adventure.”
