A new bar is coming! We know you’ve heard a lot of that lately, but here at Glam, those are words we love.
Lovers of old school hospitality and enthusiasts of the Cheers concept (where everybody knows your name) are going to like this one.
Partners in life, love, travel and now beer, Seria and Seamus have taken the big leap to bring their passion to the rest of us in the form of 55ml. And we can’t wait!
They told Glam their main drive to take the big leap came from their travels. “When you are in an outback pub in northern W.A or small little mountain village in Spain, the warmth you feel from community and sharing space and conversation with those around you is such a great feeling. In a city, it is easy to just spend time with those of a similar background or interest, we want to bring a country feel to a city venue”
The booming hospitality scene in Adelaide, their combined hospitality expertise and a little help from the chaps at Renewal SA, and 55ml has gone from a humble dream to beautiful reality.
With no major theme at hand other than an atmosphere that is relaxed, comfortable and inviting, it’s certainly going to be a spot to please all. “It’s very important to us that we create a space that is a mixture of people who may not otherwise cross path but have found themselves in our venue out of a shared sense of community and drinking!”
With early morning to late night hours on the cards there will be food available. You could grab a quick brekky, some on the go lunch and bar snacks late at night, but that’s not the focus here.
With the opening (fingers crossed) happening late April the hustle is on for the 55ml crew, but thankfully for us thirsty ones that means there isn’t much of a wait.
They’re offering great music in place of overly fancy drink choices, so those that love a good tune have a comfy place to relax and listen.
