Get a taste of some Music @ the Market

FruitFridays at Adelaide Central Market have a new flavour this month! Chefs from Hilton Adelaide, including new Executive Chef Dennis Leslie, will be joined by various musicians of Jazz, Latino and contemporary tunes for ‘Music @ The Market’.

Music @ the Market is the new end of week destination to welcome your weekend. Cooking demonstrations will take place among the buzzing Friday Market, perfectly placed near the fresh and seasonal South Australian produce. Complementing the Chefs are different musicians each week, beginning at 6pm tonight!

“Music @ the Market will be a treat for the senses,” said Hilton Adelaide’s Executive Chef, Dennis Leslie.

“I love to cook to music. We usually start off in the kitchen to something a bit mellow, and when service starts, the music gets more upbeat. It will be interesting to see how my dishes serve up alongside some Latino music.”

One of the evenings will feature Niki Vassilakis, one of the most exciting violinists to have emerged from Australia in recent years.

Born and bred in Adelaide, Niki commenced her violin studies at the age of four. “Playing at the Adelaide Central Market is very special to me. I have wonderful memories of going to the Market as a kid and developing a taste for unique foods and flavours.” Niki said.

“I am thrilled to be a part of Music @ the Market, and have the opportunity to mix two of my greatest passions; music and food!”

Completing the Friday night experience will be a different visiting winery each night, offering wine tastings.
