Sheltered in the dining area which is adorned with befitting artwork, wooden floorboards, a minimalist but warm interior alongside exceptional service from the waiting staff; it is no wonder why Georges is often filled with crowds of people whether they’re enjoying a work lunch, an intimate dinner or a function (which George’s provides).

The team at George’s always makes sure to incorporate fresh local produce into their seasonal menus. Starters feature some classics like Oysters your way, a farmers board or their famous Hiramasa Kingfish (with pomelo, black garlic, jalapeños, Yarra Valley caviar and avocado). Another winner alongside the starters is the Veal Carpaccio (with fresh rocket, shaved parmesan and truffle oil) which sets a high standard for whatever else is to follow.

The mains feature fresh in-house made pastas that include Pappardelle, Tagliatelle and their delicious Gnocchi. But it’s not just pasta’s on range, you can have a pick between your fish of the day, the lamb press, beef cheek or their specialty wattle seed duck breast  which is served with duck cigar, tarragon, King Oyster mushroom and pistachio dukkah. This distinctly mediterranean menu combines hearty family dining with high end meals that display an extreme attention to detail.

George’s pasta and bread are made daily so you’re getting the freshest produce that you could ever want and they always accommodate for vegetarians and coeliacs so pretty much everyone is welcome! You’re also bound to be surprised by the extensive wine list which contain both local vineyards and European varietals so get in there for a taste of Greece.

Desert lovers there are also a variety of options to finish your meal, from their sumptuous dark chocolate mousse, to their hit cheese plates (you can pick up to three cheese)!
