Georges On Waymouth Brings The Taste Of Greece To Adelaide

Wines of Greece and Georges on Waymouth are teaming together to bring you a wine and dine extravaganza.

We love Greek wine (but let’s be real, we love all wine), and no one in Adelaide knows Greek wine better than George Kasimatis of Georges on Waymouth. People go to Georges not only for his incredible food, but oftentimes for his extensive Greek wine list, which many would claim is one of the best in South Australia. George often travels to Greece to find the very best wines to bring back to SA for us to enjoy, but now, Greece is coming to us at the Wines of Greece Adelaide Dinner hosted at Georges on Waymouth.
Held on Wednesday 21st June 2017, you’ll meet wine educators Yiannis Karakasis MW and Grigoris Michailos, together with visiting Greek winemakers, and join them in tasting the indigenous varietals of Northern & Southern Greece and the islands. Throughout the evening, you’ll be treated to 14 wines, including wines from Argyros Estate, Karamolegos Wines and Theopetra Estate, as well as a five-course menu (not including canapés) designed by Jon Kimber, Head Chef at Georges on Waymouth.
For $150 per person, you’ll enjoy an extensive menu that includes Pigs trotter croquettes with mustard mayonnaise; Parmesan-crusted Adelaide Hills Venison with pine nut skordalia, sweet potato, crispy shallots and a red wine jus; and Lamb Press with pancetta, honey pumpkin puree, pistachio and mandarin jam.
From Georges, you can expect nothing less than perfection… but you can also expect it to sell out extremely quickly, and because seats are limited, you’ll want to book now to avoid disappointment. It’s truly a night not to be missed if you love Greek wine and Greek cuisine.
