Same Sex Marriage Finally Legalised In Australia

The Australian parliament has voted to allow same-sex marriage, ending the ban on gay and lesbian couples marrying.
The landslide win saw the bill passed with only 4 votes against it, and a massive 154 votes in favour.
It follows on from a majority of Australians voting yes in the historic postal survey this November, showing their support for marriage equality.
South Australians voted 62.5 percent YES Рreflecting the views of the nation.
LGBTIQ couples will be able to marry in the new year.
